Why I Always Carry a Notebook
Sometimes the best ideas don't arrive while sitting at a desk.
They appear while walking.
While waiting.
While travelling.
While having coffee.
For a long time I believed I would remember them.
I rarely did.
Now I treat ideas like birds.
If I don't gently catch one, it flies away.
So I carry a notebook.
Not because every thought is important.
But because I never know which small observation will eventually become an article, a conversation, a framework, or a better question.
Today's note was simple:
Clarity doesn't arrive because we think harder. It often arrives because we pay closer attention.
I'm beginning to believe that creativity is less about producing ideas and more about noticing them before they disappear.
Observation
The world is constantly offering small lessons.
Most are forgotten.
The notebook isn't just storing ideas.
It's training attention.
