The Brutal Truth About Discipline – No Excuses, Only Action | MonkModern

This journal marks a shift — from passive intention to active discipline.
It reflects a principle that MonkModern stands on:
truth, without justification.
What follows is a raw analysis of excuses, energy cycles, money, and self-mastery.

I can’t lie to myself anymore.
I can’t justify the way I’ve been doing things.
The truth is simple: I wasted time. I made excuses. I pretended I was “trying.”
But deep down, I wasn’t.

Even saying “this is a realization” is another subtle justification —
yet it’s still true.
Because now I can clearly see the difference between a life with discipline and a life without it.

I remember a line from The Alchemist:
“When you are young, put your time and energy into achieving your dream, because as you grow older, you lose the energy and intensity.”
And it hits harder now than ever.

Yesterday I listened to an audiobook on memory.
There was this concept: The 90–90 rule.
Every 90 minutes the brain completes a cycle —
90 minutes of peak energy,
followed by a necessary break.
It makes sense.
And without even knowing it, I’ve always worked best in these flexible cycles.

But beyond all this, there are some brutal truths I can’t avoid anymore:

  1. Money is important. The world respects you only when you earn.
  2. Earning money is not easy.
  3. Excuses have a cost.
  4. Money boosts your confidence and your sense of power.
  5. Once you start earning seriously, you transform. You’re not the same person anymore.

So my realization is this:
Right now, making money is not about greed — it’s about fixing myself.
It’s about shifting myself from mediocrity to meaningful work.
It’s about breaking the old cycle and rebuilding my identity.

Yes, money will change things,
but more than money —
discipline will change ME.

Today is 20/11/2025.
One month left for this year to end.
And I’ve already solved one of the biggest challenges of my life —
my digestion, my food issues, my health.
Something I couldn’t solve for three years… is finally done.

That tells me one thing:
If I stay consistent, everything else is possible.

The biggest enemy now is EXCUSES.
And I’m done fighting softly.

From today, from this moment…

NO EXCUSES. ONLY ACTION.

No stories.
No justifications.
No delaying.
Just disciplined execution.

This is the real beginning.

MonkModern is built on this foundation:
No excuses. Only action.
This journal is the first declaration of that path.
